I had a minor hiatus the past few weeks but I am back to my routine. This morning @6am: running for 30 minutes.
(honesty: I ran for 15 minutes, and the walked the rest )
It’s okay to start back slowly…
Went to the grocery store and made this recipe for breakfast: <http://www.katheats.com/favorite-foods/baked-oatmeal-snack-bars>
SO Good! All I did was mix up the ingredients and baked it while I showered! (substituted steel oats instead of rolled oats- less processed; substituted soy milk instead of skim- lactose intolerant)
Drank a protein shake consisting of a banana and a scoop of protein powder with a little bit of soy milk- mm mm good.
I am ready to be back on track. Eating healthy is less exhausting, and with the week I am about to undertake, it is necessary.
Update: I have given up grains and junk food for lent. Let’s see where this takes me… So far I have dropped two pounds since I stopped eating grains. I am having a hard time upping my calories, but it’s still happening. Minus the skinny cow cone I ate last night (I had already opened it when I realized it had grains in it), but at least it was healthy, and it was Sunday. Went to my first spin class this morning which was intense, but somewhere near the end when ACDC’s Thunder was playing, and we were approaching cool down, the sun was rising and the room was dark. It was absolutely beautiful to be a part of. I felt so lifted. I feel so happy. I love my followers. I love my life! :-)
